"BRANDS AT RISK: WHY BRAND COMMUNITIES ARE THE NEW BATTLEGROUND FOR REPUTATION"

4 WAYS TO OPTIMIZE YOUR AD CAMPAIGNS IN 2023

New year, new ad campaigns! Well, maybe not, but you should still enter 2023 with optimization in mind. Here are 4 ways you can freshen up your current ad campaigns so that you don’t have to overload yourself with all new ideas for the start of the year.

  1. Play around with different targeting. Every campaign has a sweet spot between narrow targeting and high cost-per-click, but since there is no universal formula it’s better to experiment to see what sticks and offers the best results.

  2. Reevaluate your budget allocation. While Google Ads are still extremely popular, they’re becoming more and more expensive for industries across the board. For 2023, we recommend evaluating other channels to shift some of your advertising budgets to (no more than 10%) and testing their performance. Fortunately, there are plenty of self-serve advertising platforms with more on the way.

  3. Always be A/B testing. A/B testing is amazing for understanding underperforming campaigns so you can pinpoint what elements work best. Run A/B tests even when you’re satisfied with your current results because there’s always room for improvement.

  4. Make reviewing campaign performance a habit. We know how easy it is to set up and launch ad campaigns, check them after the first 2 weeks, and let them sit after you’ve seen some momentum, but we also know that algorithms, costs, and user behavior change constantly. Make sure you have a regular schedule to review your campaign performance and measure them in regard to your KPIs (and since you’re there, you might as well reevaluate your KPIs just to be safe).

7 WAYS TO PROMOTE YOUR SMALL BUSINESS

“Growth hacking” isn’t a phrase that small businesses are used to hearing or using, but maybe it’s time to change that. Fortunately, the team over at ondeck.com has created an infographic guide for small businesses to level up their marketing efforts.
